Shon D. Johnson practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense, civil litigation, fidelity and surety law, and probate administration. He was admitted to the state bar of Tennessee in 2005 and the state bar of Arkansas in 2005. Mr. Johnson was recognized as having the top paper in Torts on the February 2005 Arkansas Bar Exam.
A native of West Memphis, Arkansas, Mr. Johnson received a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1998, graduating cum laude, and his Juris Doctorate from University of Memphis in 2004. While in law school, Mr. Johnson served as an Associate Justice of the Moot Court Board and was a Semi-Finalist in the Advanced Moot Court Competition. He also was the recipient of the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award and Who’s Who Among Law Students Award. During this time, he was a member of the Tennessee Journal of Practice and Procedure, Tax Law Society, Criminal Law Society and was a Law Clerk for the Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office in Memphis, Tennessee. He served as a Pupil of the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court from 2003-2004. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Johnson was a practicing accountant in Memphis from 1998 – 2001.
Mr. Johnson is a member of the Memphis Bar Association (Leadership Forum Class 2007-2008, House of Delegates 2007-2008, YLD Board of Directors 2008-2009, YLD Secretary/Treasurer 2008-2009), Tennessee Bar Association, Arkansas Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
